HSC Result 2026: Date, Time, SMS Code and Online Check Method
The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee has said the result will be announced at 11am at the International Mother Language Institute in Segunbagicha. Prof Syed Akhteruzzaman, the committee’s president, said the boards wanted to avoid any doubt over the outcome.
Who is waiting
A total of 12,70,583 candidates from 9,439 institutions sat the exam under 11 general, technical and madrasah boards. For most families, the HSC result decides the next step in life: university, a job-oriented course, or a study plan abroad.
How to check your HSC result by SMS
The method is simple. Type HSC, leave a space, write the first three letters of your board, add your roll number and the year, and send it to 16140. For example: HSC DHA 123456 2026. The reply usually comes with your GPA, though it can take longer when many people send messages at the same time. Some websites show a different short code, so follow the number printed in the official notice.
How to check your HSC result online
Go to the common website of the education boards or your own board’s website. Select HSC/Alim/Equivalent, choose 2026, pick your board and enter the roll and registration numbers. The marksheet then appears on the screen.
Do not go to offices
Officials say the result will not be available from the Ministry of Education, the boards or newspaper offices. Colleges, however, can download results using the board name and their EIIN and display them for students.
If you are not happy with your HSC result
Applications for re-scrutiny of answer scripts will be taken online from November 1 to 7. Details will be on the board websites. Remember that re-scrutiny normally looks for totalling errors or unmarked answers. It is not a fresh evaluation. Students who fail one or more subjects can also take heart, as the boards have said they are ready to hold re-exams in those subjects within three months.
